Christmas 2019

The theme "Glad Tidings" brought the wonder of Christ's birth to life through traditional carols by candlelight, a late night reflection with communion on Christmas Eve and a lively fun filled service on Christmas Day!

Advent  | 1 December

Advent is a time of preparation and anticipation as we eagerly look forward to celebrating the Light of God coming into the world through the birth of His son, Jesus. This week the first candle symbolising "hope" was lit on our Advent wreath.  The remaining candles representing "peace", "love" and "joy" will be lit over the next three Sundays with the final candle symbolising the birth of Christ to be lit on Christmas Day.

Thank you to our creative team who made the wreath!

Churchyard clear up  | 3 November

With its unique setting and view of the Chiltern hills, the churchyard at Speen Chapel is a place of peace and tranquility for village families, walkers, ramblers and church regulars. Annual maintenance is essential and the work undertaken during Saturday's ground's day ensured a good look for the coming season.
